IBP House of Delegates Convention

Last January 28 to 30, 2018, the Chapter, through its delegates, Chapter President Anthony W. Dee, Auditor Alfred Ramon Jose Ma. X.B. Nolasco, and Ramon I. Rocha IV, attended the 23rd House of Delegates Convention of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines at the Asturias Hotel, Puerto Princesa, Palawan with the theme “Charting a Course Forward: Utilizing and Preserving the Gains from the Victory in the West Philippine Sea”. The convention, which was attended by officers and representatives from IBP Chapters all over the Philippines, was also graced by the IBP’s National Officers, headed by President Abdiel Dan Elijah S. Fajardo, and Executive Vice President Domingo Egon Q. Cayosa, including all the governors of the IBP’s various regions. Representatives of the Judicial and Bar Council were also present during the event....

IBP-Makati Donates to Mayon Volcano Eruption Evacuees

More than two weeks ago, majestic Mayon Volcano in Albay Province erupted. The Volcano has spewed lava and volcanic ash causing more than 80,000 villagers in surrounding areas to flee and evacuate to emergency centers in Albay. The displacement has caused damage to affected farmers and Albay folks. Recognizing the plight of the evacuees, IBP-Makati, consistent with its adherence to benevolence and service, immediately coordinated with IBP-Bicolandia to extend assistance to the latter’s ongoing relief efforts. IBP-Makati generously donated P50,000 from its funds to help alleviate the plight of the Albay townsfolk. IBP-Bicolandia’s Governor, Elaine Gay R. Belen expressed the Region’s appreciation and gratitude for the charity work of IBP-Makati. IBP-Makati remains ready to extend assistance in times of natural calamities....
